Eleven calculators, split into the two questions people actually arrive with: how much of something do I need, and what is this going to cost. Every quantity is plain geometry with the formula written on the page, and every price traces to a named Canadian source with a link to it. Nothing is modelled, averaged or estimated from a hunch, and where sources disagree the range is widened rather than split.

Quantities and sizes. These carry formulas and cited standards rather than prices, so the answer holds whether you are pouring it yourself or checking a contractor's order.

How these are built
Each calculator does its arithmetic in a plain function that a test file runs directly against hand-computed cases, so the number on the page is the number the test checked. Cost rates live in data files with a source name and a link on every row, and the calculators read them rather than carrying prices in the code.
Where two sources disagree, the band is widened and both are named. Where a source publishes a starting price rather than a range, the tool prints "from" and says so. Where nobody publishes a figure, the tool leaves the line out rather than filling it with something plausible. Prices are Canadian dollars before 13 percent HST. Dataset July 2026.
