About ConcreteFinder

Last updated: By ConcreteFinder Research Team

ConcreteFinder is an independent directory that ranks Greater Toronto Area concrete contractors, from driveways and stamped concrete to underpinning and slabs, using verified Google review data and real market pricing. This page explains who builds ConcreteFinder, how it works, and the editorial rules that keep the rankings honest.

Who runs ConcreteFinder?

ConcreteFinder is compiled and maintained by the ConcreteFinder Research Team, an independent editorial team based in Toronto. We are not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any concrete contractor, and no business can pay for a better position. The team builds the dataset from public Google Maps records, applies the ranking formula published on our methodology page, and reviews every dataset and price guide before it goes live.

What does ConcreteFinder do?

ConcreteFinder does two things. First, it ranks concrete contractors across the Greater Toronto Area by verified Google reviews plus verification checks, so you can compare real contractors instead of ad placements. Second, it forwards homeowner requests to up to 3 well-reviewed local pros through a free form. We currently track 804 businesses in 8 categories, from driveways and patios to foundations and underpinning.

How does ConcreteFinder make money without selling rankings?

ConcreteFinder is free for homeowners and free for contractors. Today the directory earns nothing; if it ever does, revenue will come from clearly labelled promotion, kept separate from the rankings on purpose. No company can buy a higher rank, ever. Keeping money and rankings apart is the whole point, because a directory you cannot trust is worthless.

What are ConcreteFinder's editorial standards?

ConcreteFinder follows four rules on every page. Rankings are never for sale, review data comes only from public Google Maps profiles, market pricing is always attributed to a named source, and any homeowner or business owner can request a correction. Those standards are what let us claim these 804 listings are ranked on merit.

  • No pay-to-rank

Placement comes from a transparent, published formula. Paid leads and featured slots are labelled and kept out of the ranking.

  • Verified review data

Every rating and review count is public Google Maps data. We do not write, buy or edit reviews.

  • Named pricing sources

Cost figures cite the specific GTA contractor or authority they came from, so you can check them yourself.

  • Open corrections

What is in the ConcreteFinder dataset?

The July 2026 ConcreteFinder dataset holds 804 GTA concrete businesses spread across 8 categories and 51 mapped areas. The average Google rating is 4.8 stars across 658 rated companies, with a median of 25 reviews per business, and 74.9% of them hold a rating of 4.8 stars or higher. We map each company to a Toronto neighbourhood, borough or GTA city so results reflect who serves your street.
